St George’s Day Parade

As one of the most important events in the Scouting calendar, this years St George’s Day Parade will take place on:

SUNDAY 21ST APRIL 2013

All Cubs must attend in full uniform and should convene in the Heriot Road Car Park, adjacent to the River Bourne Health Club, Chertsey by 14:00.

The parade will be inspected by the District Commissioner at 14:20 and at 14:30, the parade will leave for a service at St Peters Church, Chertsey.

During the service, a collection will be made for this years nominated charity (the Shooting Star Chase Children’s Hospices) so please ensure each Cub has something to donate to the collection.

Cubs will, following the service, parade back to Heriot Road Car Park, past the District Commissioner and the MAYOR OF RUNNYMEDE for the Salute, arriving at approximately 16:30 for collection.

Any questions, please contact one of the leaders who’ll be more than happy to help!

  1. The St George’s Day Parade took place in Egham today with hundreds of scouts, beavers, leaders etc walking up the High Street with their banners behind the amazing Egham Band to a service at St John’s Church. The Band also played for the service – wow what a sound! The Parade and Band then returned past the Mayor of Runnymede and dignitaries taking the salute.
I planned to only take Mayor & Band photos this year, but found myself asked to do more, which given the cloudy conditions, made for some great pics. A splendid event – well done everyone!
